The Torus Mercantilus is a large-array artificial habitat, located at the L5 Trojan point, trailing Pacem proper. It is the headquarters of the Pax Mercantilus.

The Torus Mercantilus is a huge hollow carbon-carbon doughnut, 270 meters thick, a "full click" (1km) wide, and 26km in diameter.The interior of the toroid is webbed with dry-docks, communication antennae, and loading bays.[1][2]
