Sol Weintraub is one of the seven pilgrims in Hyperion and Fall of Hyperion. He is a Jewish scholar and professor from Barnard's World , and the father of Rachel Weintraub. He is also known as the "Wandering Jew", a name describing his constant search for his daughter's reverse-aging condition.
